Romy
Simone Schwartz was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa.
She has an educational background in Western medicine and psychology
from the University of Florida. At the same time, her passion
for helping others has led her to transition into the alternative
healing arts. Romy graduated Magna Cum Laude at the top-ranked
Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa
Monica, California.
Her healing philosophy is founded on the spiritual and psychological
aspects of acupuncture therapy as a basis for the treatment
of physical symptoms. Consistent with this tenet, Romy incorporates
into her Beverly Hills and Malibu practice a strong focus on
the human psyche as a primary element of health maintenance.
This provides her acupuncture patients with the attendant benefit
of feeling better, in addition to looking better. She regularly
appears as a guest lecturer both at the East-West Medical Center
of the University of California Los Angeles, and at Emperor's
College. She also has spoken at Bridges of Recovery in Pacific
Palisades, and served as a panelist alongside Western physicians
at the forum Unlocking the Mysteries of Birth and Death. Recently,
Romy was featured on the television network KCAL-9's special
news segment "Living Longer," on rejuvenation and
the applications of alternative medicine. |
