Hello all,

My greatest passion is the work that I do in seeing patients and it humbles me on a daily basis. That is all that I have to say...the rest is just a little more about my past experiences having brought me to this.

I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, where my environment emulated health and well-being. Constant international travel while growing up showed me how other cultures dealt with life. The concept of looking good on the outside was ingrained, while I was an international model. As exciting as all this was, there was a constant desire to delve into the concept of feeling good inside. When I left the fashion world and followed my heart, I first came across my four year study of Psychology at the University of Florida. This path led to the usual pre-medical studies and application to medical school where I would be on my way to pursuing Dermatology. Just before sending out applications, the question arose, "How much time will I have with each patient?" This is a matter of utmost importance to me and when the answer was...NOT MUCH...I was led into the ways of Eastern medicine and studied for another four years of university at Emperors in Santa Monica. Currently, I practice cosmetic and medical acupuncture, homeopathy and healing with whole foods. I have been featured in Access Hollywood's, "Hollywood Green" 2009, TV Guide Network's, "Building the Hollywood Body" 2009 and "Living Longer", on K-Cal 9. I was seen in Yogi Times, Splendora Magazine, Malibu Times and was a panelist in the "Unlocking the Mysteries of Birth and Death" medical symposium. I am a guest lecturer and teacher at UCLA and Emperor's College of medical Qi Gong, Emperor's College technical clinical supervisor, and Pacific Pallisades Bridges of Recovery Center guest speaker. I just finished a 10 week lecture series in Malibu regarding whole foods for health in 2009. I have my Malibu and Beverly Hills clientele and just opened up practice in a clinic in Santa Monica, CA. I am currently in the works of writing my first book as a well creating a skincare/haircare/bodycare line with ZERO synthetic chemicals. As well, I am creating a space in which to volunteer much of my time in treating patients who cannot afford acupuncture.

I am always striving to work on myself and learn as much as possible about all aspects of medicine in order to be the best practitioner that I can be. My patients are some of my most important teachers of life experience and I feel grateful for them.
